Working Magic

To work magic is to weave the unseen forces into form;
to soar beyond sight;
to explore the uncharted dream realm of the hidden reality.

When we paint, assemble disparate bits into mixed media
or assemblage,
photograph things, write poetry or novels,
design invitations or floral arrangements,
create a new dish from items in the fridge and pantry,
make up a story for a child, or any of a multitude of things,

we truly weave unseen forces into form.

I LIKE your declarative! You remind me that creativity is expressed in many ways. I am the least creative person I know, so I sometimes bemoan my shortcoming. You remind me that maybe I am not so bereft of that gene afterall. Thank you.

Did you know that Starhawk is an old friend of mine? Haven't spoken to her in years, but it's good to know she's out there spiralling around, doing her good deeds in the world. Very nice.

I think we must have been on the same wavelength today.
Our posts are remarkably similar.
Came to you via the admirable Bill Stankus.

Meriak, the greatest act of creation is the transformation of one's "self" into a being that is more conscious, daring the journey of individuation. Thanks.
