Monday Mosaic: Chihuly Glass Fragments

I am blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest,
a place where glass artists abound.
The most famous is Dale Chihuly.
I thought you might enjoy a mosaic
that features closeups of a glass installation
designed by the master himself.

The original pieces are featured on the Bridge of Glass
at Tacoma's Museum of Glass.

Absolutely stunning. I am a big fan of hand blown glass....mostly in beads. Thanks for sharing and introducing Dale....he is a master.

Meri,
Stunning mosaic, fabulous colors!!! I love Chihuly glass, just got to make it down there to his exhibit sometime. I also like the different size tiles you used in the mosaic, very interesting.

His work is fascinating! And kudos as well to his army of craftsmen who do all the fabrication.

This is my first time visiting your blog too. I'm on a blog scrolling mission today.

I love Chihuly's work too. I make glass beads and I have a line called whorls which are about an inch and a half in diameter. One woman came by my booth at a farmers market and remarked "Oooh, little Barbie Chihuly's!" I took it as a compliment.
