Whatever Reality May Be

Whatever reality may be,
it will to some extent be shaped
by the lens through which we see it.

'WATER sKY" C 2009 MERI ARNETT KREMIAN

I see stars and bursts of light
 in water sky,
find clarity where once was haze.
I find sprites dancing
 in the realm of myth,
taste the jumbled fresh of love
in the thick thinness of beginning.
I see deep veins of truth
pulsing toward the inexpressible.
I see fresh magic
in the tilt and whirl of life.

What do you see
through the lens of your heart?

Ahhh, the lens of the heart. I am tripping over some of your phrases that cause me to slow down and translate them literally... well done! "thick thinness," and "taste the jumbled fresh," both of these work for me!

In this I see the contrast of the colours and the wiggliness (is that a word?) of the lines.

The first time I realized that we all see things a tad bit differently from each other was when I listed to my sister tell what she'd seen and it was vastly different from my recollection - even though we had seen it at exactly the same time.
The photograph grabs me. But I have finally learned to enjoy it, let go of it and let the poem grab me -- I think both sides of your brain work incredibly well. Then I enjoy them both together. It is like two wonderful blogs in one.

Hi Meri

I feel that lately I am a composite of many people and each of the 'mes' sees the world a little differently...
some of the outlooks I like and others I am not so fond of...
I would like to reside in the me that sees the glory and the wonder of the world untainted...

Happy days

Interesting question... in pondering it, i realize that my heart doesn't "see" its realities so much as it feels, hears, moves to, and inhales them. For me heart/perception is not so much a matter of visual perception as it is auditory, tactile, kinesthetic, emotional, and aromatic. Love "sees" itself, though, that's what it "sees." I'm reminded of the old saying, "When a saint sees a sinner, he sees a saint."
Love that through the distortion, the reality can still be seen.

So, you read Hollis. I love his writings and in fact have a fews copies of each of his works so that I can lend them out.

I see the fingerprint of the great creator and love to reflect it back. Well, I suppose the lens of my camera. Hopefully my heart does as well sometimes.
Thanks for the visit and comment to my blog!

Stine: I used to be struck by the same thing when I was a divorce lawyer. The variance between a husband and wife's view of "facts" was so great, I often wondered if they were in the same marriage.

Steven: It's one of the joys, but also a great responsibility for those who are trying to bring more peace to the world.

Martin: Thanks.

startling in its perfect beauty.

if only we could see through the eyes of a shared heart...
a heart that realizes we are all inextricably
tied to each other.

imagine the choices we would make, if we believed we are all an extension of each other.
