Share the Joy: Relief!

Image
I hate to be so pedestrian, but this week my biggest cause for joy is the cessation of pain from a nasty ear infection that was  resistant to sulfa and amoxicillin. I finally got the right antibiotic and after 4 more Aleve and Tylenol-filled days, the pain's finally gone. I'm smiling again. How are you cultivating joy?  Celebrate it. Share the Joy: Rainy Days and Fun-Days

Image
Today's a rainy, cloudy day in my environs.  Everyone's hoping it will help douse the wildfires scorching the eastern part of my home state. If it does, that in itself will be a cause for joy. Other sources of joy for me: Cheerful, long-lasting sunflowers in a tall vase. Chips & salsa and a gathering of friends. How are you cultivating joy?  Celebrate it. Share the Joy: Pets

Image
I don't know about you but pets, for me, are a big source of joy. My felines are particularly laid back. Deja Mew is my long-haired gray calico. She's known for playing fetch and taking long naps. She's a real cuddle-bug. But then so is her brother, the handsome Purrsnickety. You'd think I posed him this way, with his tail all fluffed up and dangling over his back, but no. He's just a Fancy Pants kind of guy.   That's just the way he arranged himself to practice his favorite sport: power napping. How are you cultivating joy?  Celebrate it. 52 Photos Project: Water's Edge

Image
The theme for this week's 52 Photos Project is "Water's Edge." Let's see. Shall I share this photo of my friend Sarah by the water's edge in Mexico on our girlfriends trip to Cabo San Lucas? or maybe this picture showing what goes on at the edge of the Nile? I can't decide.

Oops...........

That's the problem with having two blogs. I posted Share the Joy  here and then couldn't figure out why it didn't post when it was supposed to. So go visit the other site and I'll try to be more careful next week. Thanks.

Share the Joy: Art Binge

There are a million names for joy,  a million different ways to make it grow in your heart. That's where joy starts, you know. It's not a head trip. It's a heart trip. With this house-for-sale thing dragging on and on, it's all to easy to neglect soul-nourishment and go to a place of fretting. So the past couple of days, I've shifted my focus to art. . . . the totally-in-the-moment, does this image work here place of creative flow. A flow that comes from the heart.
