Being Easy - Oops, I Mean "Lazy"

Since I'm taking care of my mother
after she had her shoulder replaced,
I haven't had much time to blog.

Life's full of trade offs, isn't it?

So here, for your amusement,
is the latest issue of Platform58,
having the theme "Paint."

I've got a piece in there somewhere.
I think it's the fifth photo I've had published.
No compensation - no glory either.
Just bragging rights, I guess.

Like I said, life's full of tradeoffs.

Page 17 to be exact and what a great shot! Yeah, if we were to pay artists the way we pay the idiots that run the banks we would be such a rich, vibrant country instead of paying for wars and greed.

Some day, in a perfect world everyone would understand what it means to support a creative community, and I sure hope people like you would have more than bragging rights for bringing something of beauty to the table.

Brag away, that's a fantastic piece!

Good luck to your mother, I hope she recovers quickly.

You are so right on! I was shocked when it showed up in a little tin chocolate heart box. On the etsy she didn't say how big it was. I was shocked...My husband said that's what you paid $50 for!!! Well I wanted a doll by her. She is sorta the mother of the dolls I like and so I wanted a doll by her.

Small can be good...I lost a sale of a doll because it was too big. Some people don't have room on the shelf for a bigger doll...

You are too funny though how you nailed that!!!

Life's full of tradeoffs: that could have been the sub-title to Home Safe!

Your comment on my post intrigued me. I know enough about your life (I think) to recognize some parallels, but you might read it and think that Helen is a terrible spoiled brat! It does have some wonderfully wry humor and wise thoughts, though.

Now I'm going to go look at that picture of yours.

It's good to meet you, Meri. I'm new to your blog via Eryl's. I couldn't agree more about the need for trade offs. Life's full of them.

I look forward to exploring more of your blog from the past and into the future.

Methinks REAL life always takes precedence over the 'virtual' one for most of us. Sending healing energy for your mom your way.
Hugs and blessings,
