Sun Deprivation

After days of cloud cover
and wet stuff falling from the sky,
I need a dose of sun and warm weather.
It's the end of May, for heaven's sake!

I need to soak up sun-kissed colors.

to gaze on warm, blue waters

 to admire decorative doors

and pretty ceramic plates
arranged in pleasing rows.

In other words,
let's run away to a warm and sunny slice of heaven.

i know how you're feeling. after several days of rain i'm always ready for the sun to return too. hope all is well.
Meri! You don't need to be 'taken', you are taking yourself. Won't be long now!! Soon you will be soaking up rays, taking magical shots and collecting wonderful memories. Wish I could sneak into your suitcase! :-)

Six weeks and counting...sigh. I had to prune magnificent roses yesterday because botrytis and powdery mildew have taken a hold of nearly 100 of the roses. I decided to bring the lights back to my atelier and sit there and forget about this coming week of rain...as if...

The sun will shine one of these days and we all shall faint away because like the tribes of yore we will indeed be stricken by fear of
that thing in the sky. My webbed feet are at least pedicured.

When are you swimming down?
Rebecca is coming in a month, maybe we can make it a party.

Hmmmm... I'll take your kind of heaven any day. Have you ever seen Summertime by Katharine Hepburn? This post reminds me of that movie.
