At the Beach

I'm techno-challenged.
Putting web-sized photos into this post from Picasa
seems to be beyond my capability.
There's no way that I've figured out
to downsize the files from mega-size to net size.

"A View of Haystack Rock" (c) 2010 Meri Arnett-Kremian.

That amounts to a big problem,
since I was going to take you along
on my beach walk.

I was going to show you
the silly seagulls
putting on a show

"Seagull Parade" (c) 2010 Meri Arnett-Kremian

and lots of other wonders
in a nice, tidy little size that would load efficiently.

Now why didn't I load Photoshop Elements
on my laptop?

Oh, and while I'm thinking of it,
just a reminder that Sepia Saturday
is taking an Easter break
and will return next Saturday.

Hi Meri

Picassa does have a sizing option. I used to use it all the time...you have to do each pic separately tho'..it must be in one of the edit options or export options...

Happy beach walking

Do you have the new edit version on blogger? That also has a sizing option... or the other thing I use is photobucket or flickr. I'll bet you will find a solution :)

Love going on this beachwalk even if it isn't the one you had hoped for :)
Meri - Love that photo of Haystack Rock! Thanks for sharing what you could of your beach walk!

but we still got to see those crazy seagulls and that's all that really matters...at least for today.

happy easter...
It's been quite some time since I've visited but I'm enjoying a bit of catch up in my reader this morning. Thanks for making the whole post available in your feeds. I especially appreciate your inspirational words and images ... have bookmarked 'Shine on' and 'Creative Impulses' for easy return later.

I've clicked over here to offer a suggestion about resizing images if you're using a PC. I don't know if there's something similar for Macs, but if you type Microsoft Power Toys into Google you'll find something called Image Resizer. It was written for XP but there are free downloadable versions for Vista and Windows 7 too. Just download, install, and ever after when you open a folder with photos you can RIGHT CLICK and 'resize' will be an option. I use 'large' most often for posting and email. Using this tool saves a separate 'resized and labeled' version of the photo beside the original. If you have further questions, feel free to ask in email and I'll be happy to explain further.
Hugs and blessings,
