Skin in the Game
Susannah Conway's prompt for today
August 3 is
skin.
So I have a question for you.
Can you still be considered comfortable
in your own skin
if you'd never, ever dare
to dress (undress?) like this
in front of strangers?
If you'd be loath to bare your lumps
and bumps and surgical scars,
your age spots,
your sags and bags
and crepe paper skin to a new romantic partner?
Does being comfortable in your own skin
mean that you're willing to be vulnerable
or so warrior-like that you're invulnerable?
Is being invulnerable
a good thing or a bad thing?
I guess that's more than one question.
But curious minds want to know.
