I will never forget that I am a sacred being, connected to all there is, a finite piece of the infinite, an infinite piece of the finite.

Do you? Do you have what it takes to face the world and share your gifts with it? Makeup or no make up. Whether or not you have a friend who's always loyal and curious about what you're doing. Are you brave enough to bestow your gifts upon the world, saying, "Here I am World -- I'm good enough just as I am" and "I have something to offer" ? Or do you have still have work to do? Each of us is born to create. Every living being has some gift to express that will benefit the whole, and it is for each of us to discern what gifts we bring to the table. I'm begging your indulgence. I just can't figure out what to post today. My mind is buzzing with energy from all the brainstorming and emailing and writing I've been doing on my book projects. You might say I'm lit up with possibilities. For writing and publishing books. (Universe, thank you in advance for helping me manifest everything I'll need in these ventures -- like an agent, a publisher, and a contract.) I'm so fired up with thought flames that I just can't focus on a brilliant post for today.

How do you see the world and the events that you experience? Do you see things in black and white? Do you tell yourself stories that gird you with certainty, make you invariably right (even if they also make you miserable)? Or do you see a million shades of possibility? Have you learned to spin stories that enhance your compassion? Does your personal narrative cause you to loosen your grip on your gifts so you can freely share them? The choice is yours. Choose wisely.

The day was so splendid, so warm, with white puffy clouds pasted into the blue, blue sky that I ventured out into my garden to enjoy the little piece of paradise I've created with lots of help from Mother Nature. As I rounded the corner of my house and started down the path of granite stepping stones, I noticed my feet moving from one stone to another and I thought to myself, "I am traveling on a sacred path." "Everything is part of the Divine." "Everything is Sacred." I was feeling quite satisfied with my exalted self (well, at least my inflated sense of it). And then, Coyote just had to serve me a dose of contradiction and comeuppance. "Look here," said Coyote, pointing with his rainbow paw and shining a laser-light on my tender young hostas. And I followed his gesture with my eyes. And there, I saw HOLES in my beautiful, finely-veined hostas. Incontrovertible evidence that a slug was dining in my garden. How dare that...
