The Beauty of Imperfection

There is breathtaking beauty
in the imperfect
if we take the time to notice.

Weathered bricks, faded paint.
Laugh lines around the eyes.
Strong hands that show a lifetime of labor
through skin no longer taut.

The kind of beauty that is so much easier to see
in the world of things,
in the visages of others,

than it is to recognize in ourselves.

How are you
imperfectly
perfect?

oh how i can relate. i believe the imperfections we share without ego or shame, make us laugh the hardest...tho' for me, they are too many to name or list.

learning to embrace the new curves of my body is perfection. I truly hope to age with grace and welcome myself perfectly this second half of my wonderful life

wait...how much time do you have ?
this could take awhile....

my biggest imperfection is my inability to be patient....and somedays this is a huge issue for me and those who love me....

and the laugh lines around the eyes....those are just pure beautiful on everyone...somehow better on men, but still fabulous....
