Blessing

May all the chairs at your table be filled with those you love. May there be much laughter and sharing of stories. May you give each other the precious gift of attention, and may your hearts be full of joy today and always.  Thanks for helping build a web of  friendship and peace, one blog post at a time. -Meri

Focus

Tenderness

Image
The most powerful symptom of love is a tenderness which becomes at time almost insupportable. - Victor Hugo Do you remember first meeting your first child and how it felt to fall in love? I remember right after Brendan  (the new Dad in the photo above) was born, one of the first thoughts his father, a natural warrior, expressed was War is so stupid. It's such a waste. Amen. What are you doing to foster peace?

Wishing You . . . .

I'm wishing you a world where each and every one of us sees everyone and everything through the eyes of love, through the eyes of compassion, through the eyes of peace.

Happy Birthday Logan: I Wish You Peace

Image
Today is Logan's birthday. He came into this world a year ago today, birthed in a room full of joyous celebration after months of anxious anticipation. He was born into a circle of love, to parents and grandparents who adore him, as it should be. He and all children everywhere deserve to grow up taking for granted abundant love, adequate food, clean water, shelter from the elements, a safe and peaceful home. It has to start with conscious intent, with a realization that there is no other, just pieces of the same Divine held in separate containers. We must hold a prayer in our hearts: Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. So be it.
