I'm away on a road trip -- woo hoo!

I'm actually heading to the library at Washington State University

where the manuscripts collection holds journals from my family's

trip by wagon train to eastern Washington in 1859.

I've been wanting to do this since I learned of the treasure trove,

so I'm overjoyed with anticipation.
