I was going to spend several hours writing today, hoping to get close to finishing the divorce client manual I'm creating to accompany my client education presentations for select law firms. Instead, I spent time playing on Polyvore "There is No One Else" created on Polyvore/MeriMagic and thinking. . .  not typing words. I'm feeling like working on it is coming from a place of "should" instead of the "oh wow" place where I usually begin, so I'm going to "should" write  for only a few minutes, then leave to take some of my divorce coaching brochures to a hair stylist that wanted some. After that, I'll  go watch a movie at my favorite theater and  eat red licorice, ignoring all the "shouldn'ts" that go along with pure self-indulgence.

Today was the World Day of Metta. People took time from their day to pray for the world. May all beings have fresh clean water to drink. May all beings have food to eat. May all beings have a home. May all beings have someone to share love with. May all beings know their true purpose. May all beings be well and happy. May all beings be free from suffering. Today, I shall do what I can to make this so.  Can you imagine the JOY inherent in shared intentions of thousands across the globe? I can. You can, too. I know it does but sometimes I just can't figure out what they are.

I'm scrambling to schedule a post for  Share the Joy today before I run out  to pick up a special little girl and take her to see a movie she very much wants to see. The Great and Powerful Oz. She's been a star lately and this is her reward. It's time to inspire some joy in her by helping her learn to celebrate herself  and her wins! To be unpredictable, you've got to climb out of the little box you've gotten comfortable in. You've got to dare to be a little different. To try something new. To learn something in the process. Don't forget to enjoy the surprises along the way.

One thing that I look forward to every spring is the Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley. The great swaths of color are a dose of visual joy. The daffodils are poking up their spiky little shoots and letting me know that it won't be long. Seeing beauties like this one makes my heart soar. What gives you joy?
