SHi Everyone. It's been a little hard to search for joy This week, since I'm barking like a seal with bronchitis.  The antibiotics haven't kicked in yet. So I'm going to have to get my joy vicariously.  From you. What lit a fire of joy in you this week? Share it, please.

I guess the return of my internet connection should be at the top of my list today. It went out yesterday afternoon for no apparent reason  and didn't come back online until I'd given up and gone back to bed to pamper myself as this cold rages on. So -- though it's late in posting, it's time to share the joy. My simple joys this week? The sun came out this morning after a rainy night, something that always boosts my mood  and energy levels. (Don't I look saintly?) My best friend's new grandson (a micro preemie born weighing 1.6 pounds) is now 10 days old and doing well by NICU standards. He's been moved to his own room across from the NICU where his parents can spend the night with him, which is good because his Mommy has a broken ankle.  Little Geoffy's Daddy is posting wonderful daily updates about his progress,  complete with video and photos. I'm seeing the bright green swords of daff...

A couple of days ago, I hung a new block of high protein suet  from a limb on the birch tree. I got a good scolding from a Stellar Jay who'd been sitting in a nearby tree. "Get outa here," he screamed, as I inched my way to the tree, greasy block of fat and seeds in hand. But a couple of minutes later, three gorgeous, noisy jays were flitting from branch to branch, and diving down for a snack. Sheer joy -- except that they wouldn't sit still for a photo.  So I had to settle for this photo (owner unknown) from a bird identification site. Other sources of joy? Nashville's on tonight. My new display cabinet and media center were delivered today and look even better than I anticipated. The real estate market has picked up a bit and I've had -- or will have -- three showings  within a week by Saturday afternoon. No offers yet, but I'm keeping fingers crossed and St. Joseph in the garden, s...

This week, there were lots of little moments of joy. 1.  Learning that 12 couples or families had toured my home in Sunday's open house. 2. The Seahawks beat the Saints, though honestly, they didn't play  as well as they should have. 3. Mr. Purrsnickety is still doing well on his special diet -- no urine crystals! 4. I got Office Premium loaded on my new desktop, so I can go back to writing. 5. I discovered Stash Raspberry-Pomegranate green tea (yum!). and 6. the pops of my favorite blue in this new Polyvore creation  (I'm so happy to be back to playing with images again).
