It's all too easy to become jaded and cynical, especially if you allow yourself to be bombarded by constant bad news cycles from major media outlets. To preserve your sense of wonder watch a meteor shower walk at the seam between the ocean and the land  to breathe in the salt air and let yourself feel the pounding majesty of the ocean be amazed by floating green orbs in Ireland and listen to your inner wisdom tell you they're called fairy lights get still enough to hear stones sing  a galactic OM watch a baby being born wait for a hummingbird to dip and soar outside your window or the eagle to fly by on his way to the pond laugh with gusto cry with abandon just because commune with trees and imagine your roots intermingled with theirs trace the spiral patterns carved in ancient rocks  by your ancestors and own your inner shaman fall in love try to mix paint in the exact colors of a sunse...

Relyn  recently invited us to post our  No. 5 and  No. 10 posts from our blog infancies. I'm not sure what  number this was, but it was a very early post. I've reworked it just a bit and am posting it while I'm on a more exterior journey. - meri    To me, spirals bespeak an inner journey, a heroic quest  to perfectly express our uniqueness and soul signature. "Spiral" © 2008 Meri Arnett-Kremian   All of us encounter layers of meaning, find ourselves  confronted with challenges time and again. Sometimes it's the same old stuff in new packages. Other times it's brand new stuff because we've learned some of the earlier lessons  and we're ready for bigger  (and hopefully BETTER) things.  Who hasn't circled round and round, trying to find that center  of stillness and peace? Who hasn't longed for a sure  and steady path to a blissful destination, even if it turns out to be ...

Mosaic Monday: Things I Adore

The list of things I adore is long but it includes: taking pictures spirals of light and color folk art & crosses statues with serene faces art and artifacts with an Asian flair feathery things tea-stained fabrics & frilly pillows -- though I don't buy frilly pillows -- shades of blue with a hint of green carved doors and Cupid (please send an arrow my way!)
