Last week, I took you to the gardens of Monet's Giverny and down the block to the Ancien Hotel Baudy. This week, how about a pictorial exploration of castles, French-style? Top row: Azay Le Rideau , Villandry from the gardens Center row: Chateau Chinon , Chenonceau (my personal favorite) spanning the River Cher, Chateau d' Amboise Bottom row: Cheverny and Chateau de Chambord , a French Renaissance masterpiece with a double-helix staircase, 440 rooms and 365 fireplaces.
